Many of our courses can be adapted for in-house delivery and can be specifically tailored to meet individual needs.

Introduction to Coaching

Description:

A two-day workshop for anyone with line management and team responsibilities. The programme includes a pre-attendance self-assessment activity and 2 days of interactive theory and practice-based learning.

Day 1: 15 May 2017 (9.30 – 16.30)
Day 2: 16 May 2017 (9.30 – 16.30)

Aim:

To provide an introduction to coaching and mentoring techniques and how to apply them in a variety of workplace situations

Content:

 Principles of Coaching

  • The differences between, and definitions of, coaching and mentoring
  • Contracting, coaching ethics, code of practice and coaching boundaries
  • Agreeing expectations, processes and boundaries
  • Establishing your coaching baseline
  • Introduction to the GROW model and other coaching models
  • Asking powerful questions
  • Coaching skills, qualities and techniques
  • The coaching continuum
  • Communication and non-combative challenging strategies
  • An overview of learning theory
  • Personal development and emotional intelligence
  • Improving own coaching practice through reflection and review
