Welcome to ADASS South West
The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) in the South West work to promote higher standards of social care services, influence policy and decision makers and transform the lives of people needing and providing care. Improving outcomes for the people who use health, social care and associated services is at the heart of our collaboration and everything we do is geared towards achieving this.
Delivery of adult social care has moved away from the model where the local authority is the provider and commissioner of care to new approaches with health, the private and independent sector.
Increasingly councils are developing joint outcomes based commissioning models, some involving health, to deliver learning disability and mental health services. Although, there are joint arrangements that now deliver older people services.
