Course Duration:

  • Attendance at 5 training days (delivered remotely)
  • Attendance at  2 group supervision sessions and 2 assignment tutorials
  • Participation in up to 3 hours of one-to-one supervision sessions
  • Completion of 20 hours of coaching with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 coaches
  • Completion of the 3 qualification assignments

Description:

This qualification is for senior managers or Human Resources (HR)/Organisation Development (OD) professionals who wish to develop their expertise and credibility in the fields of Executive or Senior level coaching and mentoring, or to establish coaching at an organisational level. It is also ideal for professional coaches and mentors seeking to enhance and accredit their experience with a nationally recognised qualification. When you are registered on an ILM programme, you can, if you wish, activate student membership with the Institute of Leadership & Management to access a range of research documents and resources.  If you choose to activate it, this free TILM membership lasts while you are on the programme, until you are qualified.   • Understand the strategic purposes of coaching and mentoring at an executive or senior level
  • Analyse the knowledge, skills, behaviours and practices necessary for effective coaching or mentoring at an executive or senior level
  • Plan, deliver and review own effective coaching or mentoring at an executive or senior level
  • Learn why reflective learning is important for own professional practice
  • Be able to plan own future professional development activities as a coach or mentor operating at an executive or senior level

How is it assessed?

It is assessed through completion of 3 assignments:

  1. an essay-style assignment focusing on your understanding of coaching principles and practices
  2. an evidence-style assignment using practice evidence from your coaching practice
  3. an evidence-style assignment reflecting and reviewing your coaching practice
