This half day event is ideal for those with little or no experience of pre-employment checks or to those who haven’t recruited for a while and are looking for a refresher. This event provides an overview of what pre-employment checks are and why they are needed
This includes:
- Why pre-employment checks are needed including an overview of the relevant Employment Law
- What pre-employment should be carried out and when
- What is the Right to Work in the UK including signposting to latest Home Office advice and guidance
- ID checking and what to look out for
- Dealing with references
- Checking qualifications
- Guidance on the different level DBS checks
- Dealing with unfavourable outcomes and taking appropriate action
