Appraisal Support
Whether you already have an appraisal process in place or you are looking to develop one, SW Councils team can support you by providing advice and guidance on how to get the most out of the review meetings.
As well as day to day appraisal advice, we also offer appraisal focused training. The half day course covers the purpose and benefits of appraisals, helps you to build an understanding of the process, aims to improve the skills needed for effective and positive meetings, helps you to understand how the process fits into the wider performance management context and explores how to measure and monitor individual performance through objective setting, including managing poor performance. We can also support individual appraisal processes. For our local authorities, South West Councils offers free support for Chief Executive appraisals.
