The Learning Mentor apprenticeship is a minimum of 12 months and should typically be completed within 12-18 months. The Learning Mentor role has emerged within the Education and Training Sector (ETS) as a first step towards development as an education and training professional. Learning Mentors provide support, advice and guidance to develop the learner’s knowledge, skills and behaviours, throughout their learning programme on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups. Learning Mentors provide practical, technical and pastoral support and guidance, working closely with colleagues who support their learners in education and the workplace
