SW Councils is  independent and not-for-profit and supports collabration and the sharing of best pactice across the 33 local authorities in the south west.  Each full member may nominate one of their councillors to be their representative on South West Councils. There are also 10 additional memebr spaces appointed by the political groups to help reflect the political balance within the region.
